SCARLET FADE BIOGRAPHY

Like a rose amidst life’s thorns, the band Scarlet Fade blooms from it’s Connecticut roots into a beautiful arrangement of harmonies, experience driven lyrics, (from a myriad of life lessons), and the raw genetics of pure talent. The components are effortlessly translated into a catchy, upbeat pop/rock sound with a message. Scarlet Fade’s songs include hope, encouragement and an underlying ability to reach vast audiences.

The four-piece band, consisting of one brother and three sisters, started their musical journey very young. Lead vocalist and eldest sister Ali Hoffman, recalls being moved by music at the age of 4 with younger sister Jordan, at the time- age 2. This would be the beginning of what would later become a brilliant musical collaboration, instrumentally and vocally..

Ali and Jordan began singing together from the start, but it wasn’t until Jaimee, the third sister was old enough to join in that it took a more a serious direction. When Jake, (drummer and youngest sibling) joined the group, Scarlet Fade was complete.

The four band members have turned some difficult times from their youth and a parent’s divorce into not only a testimony of survival but also a thriving life of purpose. Their voice from stage encourages their audience to persevere and be true to who they are. “We use our gifts and passions to help others realize their unique abilities. They should never be afraid of being different. They should not be afraid of being who they were created to be.” Ali and Jordan relayed in a recent interview.

The band has certainly conveyed a big heart as well as a love of music and performing. Tracy, the mother of the four siblings, recalls instilling a need to give back, early in her kids’ childhood. They began sponsoring a child in Indonesia 14 years ago as a family and are still actively sponsoring him today. Scarlet Fade has taken an even more personal approach and held a benefit concert for their sponsored child and victims of the devastating tsunami of 2004. They raised over $1000.

Today they have partnered with Mission of Mercy, a child sponsorship organization, and encourage others to aid in the lives of less fortunate children qll over the world. The band’s heart for children in need coincides with the non-profit’s mission statement, “One Child Matters.”

In addition to their other accomplishments, the band won a contest online for Ellio’s Rock Star Challenge. The band soared to the winning spot, taking the majority of the 53,000 votes from peers and fellow artists. Among one of the deciding votes was the lead singer of indie- band Flyleaf, Lacey Mosley. She was quoted in an online interview saying, “Millions of good bands are out there and it takes a unique passion, honesty and humility to make a band stand out among the rest. There is something in the combination of members in Scarlet Fade that pulls your heart into the song. As artists, we want more than just to entertain, we want to inspire- and this band is making that kind of art.”

Influentially, this band holds true to their art form and true to their convictions and passions. Scarlet Fade is not only a family based success but a testimony to the positivity of persevering and coming out stronger on the other side.
